SEO LinkBuilding

Google’s algorithm has more than 200 factors it is analysing to index your website and rank it according to what it believes the website stands for and it’s relevance to somebody searching for particular phrases. So if your company website builds patios and you are based in Brisbane and through your keyword research you discover the top 5 phrases that carry plenty of traffic and one of those phrases was “Patios Brisbane”, it is obviously in your interests to be seen by Google to have a website that is relevant to that phrase. The snag is that Google scans your website and all the others by robot, so simply stating on the website that you offer patios in Brisbane is not enough, Google needs to be totally satisfied that your website is more relevant than all the others to put it on page 1.

This is where a linkbuilding campaign forms part of Optimisation process. There are many other substantial issues that need to be in place but building links carries a huge amount of weight with Google, to the point where without it you cannot rankĀ  on their Page 1 The reason for this is Google sees other websites linking to your site as a democratic vote for your site being good. So when it is comparing 2 similar sites it will always give more ranking power to a site with a larger and higher quality pool of inbound links(ie links from other websites to yours). Higher quality i say because all links are not equal, there are several determining factors as to why one link is better quality than others, but that bcomes a much deeper discussion. Th big takeaway from this is all websites that want to rank well in Google MUST HAVE A LINKBUILDING CAMPAIGN, without it they will remain just a business card on the internet, collecting cyberdust whilst their competitors with foresight use their website to grow their business and generate daily leads.
